…a word about Carbon Monoxide
It’s not just deadly. Even low levels (above 10 parts per million) of Carbon Monoxide can make you sick for weeks. And ya can’t tell it’s there ‘cause it’s odorless and tasteless.
Your furnace produces Carbon Monoxide in the middle of the heating process. If it’s working properly, it will get rid of it through a series of burning cycles. But if you’ve got a crack in your heat exchanger or some other problem that lets it escape, it’ll make your sick or even kill you (really not being dramatic).
Most store-bought detectors only detect at 70 parts per million. That means you can still get sick even if your Carbon Monoxide detector doesn’t go off.
Pine has 10 ppm Carbon Monoxide detectors. They’re normally $89. But if your furnace is 12 years old or older, Pine will be happy to install one FREE along with a 99 Buckaroo Inspection.
If ya really want Pine peace of mind, our UV Air Purifiers keep ya from ever breathin’ Carbon Monoxide.
Oh, and don’t tell Pat I told ya, but he’s a certified expert at Carbon Monoxide. He goes to every conference and training he can. Not even the fire department knows what he knows. They call him if they have a problem.
If you have any concerns, call Pine immediately at (507) 289-5900, and we’ll get ya safe and put your mind at ease. Or, if you’re detector is chirping at you right now and you’re not sure why we have an online carbon monoxide detector troubleshooter.
If ya smell something burning the first time ya turn on your furnace…
Don’t worry. It’s just dust that’s collected on your igniter over the summer. There’s probably nothing wrong with your furnace, but it’s a good sign that you need a tune-up to save money on your utility bills. If ya call Pine before ya turn it on, ya don’t have to smell it.
Talk to ya soon,
